Memphis lands big-time JUCO scoring wing

Josh Pastner got his first commitment of the 2016 class when College of Southern Idaho wing Ar'Mond Davis committed Sunday.
Davis is considered to be one of the top junior college players in the country. He committed to Seattle University out of high school, but chose to go the JUCO route in Idaho. The decision paid off immensely.

Davis became a highly prized recruit in just one season, and had originally set up visits to Memphis, Texas A&M, Alabama, and LSU in September. Davis' first visit was with the Tigers this weekend and he committed on the spot.
The 6-foot-6 inch wing is noted as instant offense when he gets the ball. He has deep, unlimited range, a mid-range pull-up, and is able to finish around the bucket.
The Tigers lose senior guards Kendren Johnson, Trahson Burrell, and Ricky Tarrant next season, and Davis is expected by just about every basketball expert to make an immediate impact.
Davis told Gabe DeArmound of PowerMizzou, com "Coaches like how I can score from anywhere on the floor. As soon as I step onto the court, I feel like I can score from anywhere. I've got range that's different from anybody else, because I can shoot from 40, 45 feet. Once I hit a couple in a row, nobody can guard me, because I can go around them. I'm versatile and I can handle the ball well too."
Davis had become a top priority for the Tigers over the summer with Pastner and assistant Damon Stoudamire recruiting him heavily.
