Mertens makes decision

Travis Mertens won't have to travel too far next season to play his college ball. Mertens has played the past two seasons at Lake Region State College in Devils Lake, ND. JucoJunction has the latest on where Mertens will be playing next season in this story.

Mertens, (SO) 6-foot-5, will play for the University of North Dakota. UND recently went to the Division One level. Travis averaged near 20 ppg and 10 rebounds this season for the Royals. Mertens was MVP of Mon-Dak Conference this past season and is currently the Royals all-time leading rebounder in school history.
