Midland big man headed back home

Midland College lost to Howard Community College in the Championship Game of the Region 5 District Tourney. Howard Community College went on to win the NJCAA National Championship this past season in Hutchinson, KS. Midland head coach Ross Hodge called to inform JucoJunction that one of his players has decided on a school for next fall. This now makes four players from Midland College to be committed for next fall.
"Caleb Dean has decided to head back to his home state of Michigan and play at Western Michigan University for next season," said Hodge.

Dean, 6-foot-9 from Novi, MI, played last season at Paris Junior College when Hodge was in charge of the Dragons.
"Caleb is a really good post defender and has a smooth stroke out to 15 feet," said Hodge.
Dean had a record of 57-8 in two years of junior college basketball.
Dean now joins three other teammates in Kenny Moore (St. Francis), Darrell Williams (Oklahoma State) and Brockeith Pane (Utah State) in finding Division One Schools for next fall.
