Mineral Area duo make decisions
Rickey Claitt and John Fowler from Mineral Area College in Park Hills, MO have made there college choices for next season. JucoJunction caught up with Mineral Area College Assistant Coach Chad Kish today.
Claitt, (SO) 6-foot-2 (175) from Orlando, FL. Ricky is a former high school teammate of Darius Washington (Memphis). Claitt has signed on with the Pac-10 Oregon State Beavers. Ricky averaged 8.1 ppg and dished out 5.2 assists this season.

"Ricky is really unselfish. He has a great basketball IQ and he really has sacrificed his game for the better of his teammates," said assistant coach Chad Kish.
Ricky cancelled his visit to Southeast Missouri State after heading to Oregon State. Mineral Area Assistant Coach Sean Pryor played his college basketball at Oregon State a few years back.
Fowler, (SO) 6-foot-4 (210) from Blytheville, AR. Fowler is a blue-collar guy. John played his freshman season at Bossier Parish community College in Louisiana. John will be heading to Arkansas-Little Rock next season.
"John is a very versatile player that competes at all times," said Kish.
Fowler averaged 11.7 ppg, 6.9 rebounds and shot a blistering 84.7% from the foul line.
