Mississippi Gulf Coast back on track

The Bulldogs of MGCCC are back at it this season after suffering through Hurricane Katrina last season. JucoJunction had a chance to talk to assistant coach Patrick Wilcher on some of the Bulldog sophomores. The Bulldogs are currently 13-5 in Region 23 this season.
Henry Salter: (SO) 6-foot-4 from Gulfport, MS.

"Henry is one of the best scorers and rebounders in our region. He has been very consistent throughout the season," said coach Wilcher.
Henry is averaging 22.3 ppg this season. Salter verbaled to Texas Christian University back in the fall.
Ronald Douglas: (SO) 6-foot-9 from Baton Rouge, LA.
"Ronald is one of the best blockers and rebounders in the country. Douglas is a 4/5 high major athlete that can beat a lot of guards down the floor," said Wilcher.
Ronald spent last season at Indian Hills CC (IA) where he averaged 3.9 ppg in 17 games. Southeastern Louisiana, UT-Martin, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Idaho State and Louisiana-Lafayette are all keeping tabs on Douglas this season. Douglas is averaging 9.2 ppg, 11 rebounds and 5.4 blocks this season. He has had three games of double digit blocks this season.
Carlos Wright: (SO) 6-foot-0 from Gulfport, MS. Wright sat out last season after playing in 2004-2005 for the Bulldogs.
"Carlos has been very steady for us at the point position this season. He really has enough ball handling skills to create angles and get by defenders," said Wilcher.
Carlos can shoot the three ball and is averaging 16.7 ppg this season. Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and UT-Martin are watching Carlos this spring.
