Morrison will opt out

Missouri coach Mike Anderson made one of his first recruiting trips down to El Reno, Oklahoma on Thursday. Anderson was hoping to keep Redlands forward Ty Morrison in the flod for the Tigers.
"They came down yesterday as a matter of fact and talked to me and Vaidatos Volkus," Morrison said. "He wanted to meet me face to face. H was very professional and I am glad I met him. I heard a lot about him and I can tell you the man is going to be successful in his life, with his players, and he is going to turn the program around."

But will Morrison be a part of that turnaround?
"We talked back and forth and it was a great conversation," said the 6-foot-7 forward. "I am still going to try leave."
Morrison said Anderson indicated that the Tigers would grant his release.
"He said they will do it," Morrison said.
The paperwork has not yet been completed, so the No. 11 junior college player in the class cannot officially be recruited by other schools at this point. Once he is officially on the market, there will be no shortage of suitors.
"I just want to go to a really, really good situation," Morrison said. "Coming out of junior college, I only have two years left and I want to go to a really good situation where I can help the team be successful."
While it looks like the Tigers have lost Morrison officially now, his teammate is still planning to be a Tiger.
"Yeah, Volkus is definitely coming," Morrison told JucoJunction.
At this point, Missouri has two scholarships available for the spring signing period.
