Motlow State has more top talent

The Motlow State Community College Bucks are off to (11-4) this season under first year head coach Mike Brown. Brown came from Kent State and Schoolcraft College prior to making Lynchburg, TN his new home. JucoJunction took an opportunity to look at the Bucks sophomores and a few freshman to watch out for next season.
Tim Williams, (SO) 6-foot-4 (205) from Pontiac, MI, is a wing player who played his freshman at Oakland University in Michigan.

"Tim is a strong, tough, physical, athletic do-it-all wing player who can score in a variety of ways," said Brown.
Williams is currently averaging 19.5 ppg, 7.5 rebounds and 5 assists this season going into the second semester. Dayton, Houston, Missouri State, UAB, Indiana State and Loyola-Illinois have been in contact with Tim this season according to coach Brown.
"Tim rebounds extremely well at his position," said Brown.
Channing Coffey, (SO) 6-foot-6 (205), is an athletic combo forward who played at Giles County High School with current Tennessee Vol Tyler Smith and won the AAA State Championship. Coffey has clock issues according to Brown and will have to go the NAIA route. Coffey is getting 10.5 ppg and 5.4 rebounds a night for the Bucks.
Jamal Morris, (SO) 5-foot-10 (170), hails from Nashville, TN.
"Jamal is our fastest guy on the team. He does a outstanding job of guarding and chasing shooters around the floor and is a very good on the ball defender," said Brown.
Morris is averaging 3.8 ppg this season from the point guard position.
Dominique Shellman, (FR) 6-foot-2 (190) from Memphis, TN, is an academic qualifier and can leave Motlow State after this season with three years left to play at the next level. Shellman is averaging 8.4 ppg and 4.5 rebounds this season to go along with 5 assists. Georgia State, Murray State, Southeast Missouri State and Rutgers have contacted Shellman this season according to Brown.
"Dominique is a very gifted ball handler," said Brown.
The Bucks have two freshmen that are getting plenty of playing time this season in Justin Johnson and Ryan Allen. Johnson, 6-foot-9 (230), is from Cherryville, NC and Allen, 6-foot-4 (200), hails from Chicago. Johnson is averaging 18.4 ppg and 8.9 rebounds this season from the power forward position. Allen is the brother of NBA player Tony Allen of the Boston Celtics. Allen played at Notre Dame Prep last season in Fitchburg,MA is averaging 12.2 ppg and 4.4 rebounds this season.
JucoJunction will keep an eye on the Bucks this semester as they try to make a run to Hutchinson, KS for the National Tournament.
