Mountain View has two to watch

Head coach LeRoi Phillips and the Mountain View College Lions are currently (12-13) on the season. Coach Phillips might not be smiling a lot but he does have a great freshman in Brandon Brown. JucoJunction had a chance to find out what's going on with the Division III Lions' players.
Brandon Brown: (FR) 6-foot-7 (205) from New Orleans, LA. Brown came from Sarah T. Reed High School in New Orleans to Texas. Brown is 21 years old and worked for a few years before landing at Mountain View this past fall.

Brandon is currently averaging 29.3 ppg and shooting a unbelievable 71.8% (258-359) from the floor. Brown has only made six three pointers all season long.
"Brandon is a gifted athlete and a pure game player. I have to play him at the five spot for us but, he's not a post player" said Phillips.
Brandon missed some games back in November when he was involved in a car accident. Brown fell asleep behind the wheel after returning from New Orleans. He received some bruises and cuts.
"I saw Brandon this fall and he's very effective attacking the basket. He must tighten up his handles and work on his perimeter game" said JucoJunction staff member Bret Swanson.
Jonathan Parks: (SO) 6-foot-5 (220) from Jonesboro, TX. Parks is a undersized post player that played his freshman season at Ranger College (TX).
"Jonathan puts back a lot of baskets and always plays hard," said Phillips.
Parks is averaging 12.2 ppg and 9.9 rebounds this season for the Lions.
