Rowland is a small forward from Clinton, Md. He averaged 16.8 points and 9.4 rebounds last season for the 18-12 Mountaineers. "Billy likes to really hit the glass on both ends of the floor and really likes to switch hands a lot when going to the rim," said JucoJunction Publisher Bret Swanson.
Rowland told JucoJunction he has heard from the University of Maryland-Eastern Shore and Iona College this fall.
Bobby Jones is a combo guard from Memphis, Tenn. He averaged 8.6 points per game last season. "Jones really likes to attack the basket while at times he will pull up for the mid-range jumper," said Swanson.
Jones carried some more responsibility today with teammate Therone Chilton, Marcus Tarrance and Allen Farmer all not in the lineup for the Mountaineers.
