Mt. San Jacs Williams Johnson Planning Visits

Waki Williams and Tihon Johnson may not be done playing with each other.
The sophomore duo from Mt. San Jacinto College in California will visit Southern Mississippi together from Apr. 16-18, according to Eagles' Head Coach Patrick Springer.

Williams, a quick and springy 6-8 forward from Columbus, Ohio, is visiting Memphis (Apr. 7-9) as we speak, and will visit Southern Miss the following weekend.
In late February, Williams had been slated to visit Charlotte, but Springer said those plans fell through.
Even though Williams' season was cut short by a knee injury, he averaged 15.8 points and 8.4 rebounds per game, shooting 51 percent from the floor, 38 percent beyond the arc and 66 percent from the foul line.
In addition to the aforementioned programs, Springer said that Iowa State and Central Florida had inquired about Williams. To date, he only has visits set to Southern Miss and Memphis.
"At this point, if they haven't scheduled a visit, they're not really involved," Springer said.
Johnson, a rugged 6-4 swingman from Columbus, visited Creighton in the fall. The Blue Jays are still involved, Springer said, but his only scheduled spring trip is to Southern Miss.
Johnson averaged 19.5 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game this season. He shot 36 percent beyond the arc and 76 percent from the foul line.
JUCO Junction will keep you posted on both Johnson and Williams as the spring signing period looms.
