Multiple prospects at Lackawanna College

We are deep into the period where legitimate prospects are starting to emerge for the Class of 2007. One such prospect plays at Pennsylvania's Lacakawanna College. Kevin Olivieri can play either guard spot and head coach Ricky Cabrera is already getting interest.
"Central Connecticut State expressed interest in him, South Dakota State, Florida Atlantic, Tennessee Tech," Cabrera said. "I am sure as the season comes on he's going to probably get more offers and hear from some schools. He transferred from Caldwell College, didn't play, but he applied for a medical red shirt and transferred to us this year. He is hands down a D1 player."

If the redshirt is granted, Olivieri offers the added bonus of three years of eligibility.
"He shoots like a shooting guard. He is really a point guard, but has jump shot like a shooting guard," Cabrera said. "He has very good ball handling skills, has an inner city kind of game with all the intangibles. He can shoot, can pass, he's going to be a low to mid D1 player. He's just very intelligent, one of those guards in penetration, going to the middle, he can rise up and dunk on someone. He is a lights out shooter, good smart savvy basketball player, knows the game really well."
The major recruiting play for Lackawanna may come next year at this time. Cabrera has three freshmen coming in that he thinks are Division One prospects.
Chris Hahn: "6-8, 245 from Baltimore. Good player, carries his weight very well, an inside-out player. His upside is tremendous."
Roger Thomas: "I've gotten some calls now and he hasn't even gotten here. Some coaches have called me saying they're going to check him out based on what he did on the AAU circuit. Long Island, UMBC, Northeastern have called about him. He's pretty tough."
Adrian Gailliard: "He's full of muscle, doesn't have an inch of body fat. Very Tim Duncan like in regard to his game. I'm not comparing him to Tim Duncan, but they have similarities in their games. He is very fundamental, athleic, has all intangibles a coach would want in a player."
