Mustangs prepare for Bears

The Monroe College Mustangs will play at home tomorrow versus region rival Harcum College from Bryn Mawr, Penn. Monroe College (24-3) plays Harcum College (23-3). The Mustangs topped the Bears last month 97-67.

Orlando Sanchez has received plenty of attention this spring according to Mustangs Head Coach Jeff Brustad. Providence, Cincinnati, St Johns, Maryland, South Florida, Texas A&M, Pittsburgh and Florida International are in the mix recruiting the post player.
Sanchez is ranked No. 21 in the 2012 JucoJunction Top 150. He is averaging 10.3 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2 blocks per game for the Mustangs. Sanchez has connected on 57 percent (121-213) from the field this season.
Marco Bourgault is a big shooting guard from France. Bourgault was hampered by injuries last season after playing at Notre Dame Prep in Fitchburg, Mass. Bourgault has received interest from Fairfield and Iona this spring according to Brustad. Bourgault has connected on 41 percent (63-153) from 3-point range while scoring 10.4 points and grabbing 3.8 rebounds per game.
Anthony Banks is scoring 8.5 points and grabbing 5.7 rebounds a game this season. Banks hails from Roanoke, Va. Banks has received inquiries from Radford, James Madison, Ohio University and Robert Morris according to Brustad.
Tauron Bailey played this past summer at Jerry Mullen's JUCO Camp in St Charles, Mo. on the campus of Lindenwood University. Bailey is no longer on the team at Monroe College. Bailey was ranked No. 118 in the 2012 JucoJunction Top 150.
