NDSCS ready to move on

The North Dakota State College of Science Wildcats moved one step closer to Hutchinson, KS last night. The Wildcats defeated Williston State College 87-67 to win the Region XIII Championship on their home floor last night. The Wildcats improved to (29-2) on the season under first year head coach Scott Schumacher of the Wildcats. Schumacher was previously at Kilgore College in Texas for many years.

Maurice Foster led the Wildcats last night with 23 points and Region MVP Ridge McKeither added 21 points while James Livingston added 13 points. Foster and McKeither were both with Schumacher last season at Kilgore College while Livingston was at Paris Junior College.

The Wildcats will wait and see who they play from the Iowa Region. Southeastern Community College defeated Indian Hills Community College last night 58-52 to force a game three in the best of three Region XI Championship. The next game will be Friday in Ottumwa, IA on the campus of Indian Hills Community College.
