New faces in new places

South Georgia Tech has plenty of new faces this coming season on the roster. The Jets played in the NJCAA National Tourney in Hutchinson, KS last March.
The Jets will be coached this season by Douglas Byrd. Byrd takes over for Steven Wright who decided to move on to the church ministry.

The Jets brought in plenty of new faces this coming season. JucoJunction had a chance to see the Jets play this past weekend in Suwanee, GA.
Jade McLendon went away for his freshman to play at Cowley College in Arkansas City, KS. McLendon, an Ellenwood, GA resident, will look to lead the Jets and is one of many transfers on this seasons roster.
McLendon, a combo forward, averaged 7.8 ppg and 6.2 rebounds last season. McLendon shot 53% from the
floor. "Jade is very versatile and can play inside-out on the floor" said JucoJunction Publisher Bret Swanson.
Deriece Parks, a sharp shooting guard from Charlotte, NC played last season at Barton Community College in Great Bend, KS. Parks played high school basketball at Olympic High School.
Parks, a slender sleek shooting guard, averaged 7.8 ppg and 4.7 rebounds last season for the Cougars.
Parks made 52 three pointers.
Trey Mitchell, a former teammate of Parks in high school, joins forces again in college this season. Mitchell, a small forward, played last year at Olney Central College in Olney, IL.
Mitchell averaged 12 ppg and 5.4 rebounds last season. Mitchell connected on 40% (66-164) behind the arc.
