New faces in new places

Every season in the junior college ranks you will see players move onto different schools for the following year. Today JucoJunction takes a look at five players from the Southeastern part of the country who will play elsewhere this coming fall. Peter Kpan just completed his freshman season at the College of Coastal Georgia in Brunswick, G.A. The Mariners are now going to play at the NAIA level starting this season.

The power forward from Columbus, O.H. will take his game to Panama City, F.L. and Gulf Coast Community College this season. Kpan averaged 11 points and 8 rebounds per game this season for the Mariners.
The Chipola College Indians had four players from this season's team move onto different locations for next year. Geron Johnson will play at Garden City Community College (KS), Elijah Pittman at Lamar State-Port Arthur, Rashad Perkins at Indian Hills Community College and Jeverick Nelson at Trinity Valley Community College in Athens, T.X.
The guard from Dayton, O.H. averaged 10.5 points per game this season while Pittman (Covington, K.Y. native) averaged 13.2 points per game. Both players had some off the court issues this season for the Indians.
The former University of Southern Mississippi signee will suit up for the Warriors next fall while Nelson a Jackson, M.S. will play for the Cardinals and head coach Pat Smith.
