New man in charge

This is the first time in 20 plus years that someone else is guiding the Ravens of San Jacinto College. This season Jacob Wonders took over the job from longtime head coach Scott Gernander. San Jacinto currently stands at 9-2 under Wonders this season. The Pasadena, Tex. based school sits just outside of Houston, Tex. are led in scoring by sophomores Flavien Davis and Chris Richardson.

Davis a native of Milwaukee, Wisc., visited the University of South Alabama back earlier this fall according to Wonders. Davis is currently averaging 17.3 points and 8.6 rebounds per game this season while shooting 55 percent (58-106) from the floor.
Richardson, a native of the Tar Heel State, is currently in his third year at the school. Richardson played his high school basketball at Waccamaw Academy in Whiteville, N.C.
Richardson is a physical power forward who currently averaging 11.3 points and 8.5 rebounds per game this season while hitting on 56 percent from the floor. "Chris really likes to play with contact on the floor and he has the ability to step out and knockdown the mid-range shot," said JucoJunction Publisher Bret Swanson.
