Tilford was Mr. Basketball in the state of Kentucky as a senior in high school and played his freshman season at the University of Cincinnati. This year at New Mexico, Tilford averaged 18.4 points and 5.2 assists per game. He was a first-team all-conference player and led the WJCAC in scoring.
Tilford is finishing up academic work during the first summer session in New Mexico. UNC-Wilmington and St. Bonaventure were among other teams showing interest.
