New Orleans Picks Up Pair of JC Cagers

The University of New Orleans, which is coached by former Santa Fe (FL) Head Coach Monte Towe, has landed a pair of players from the junior college ranks this fall.
The Privateers landed 6-1 point guard Todd Bostic of Cochise College in Douglas, Ariz., and 6-9 center Jose Nava of Hill J.C. in Hillsboro, Tex.

Bostic played very well last month at the ACCAC Jamboree in Scottsdale, Ariz. He's a solid floor general with an excellent three point stroke.
A native of El Paso, Tex., Bostic averaged 11.5 points and 6.8 assists per game last winter for the Apaches, earning All-ACCAC honors.
Bostic visited New Orleans from Oct. 23-24, and had also considered McNeese State and Northern Arizona.
Nava's commitment comes as little surprise, since JUCO Junction reported last week that he visited UNO after the Dallas JUCO Jamboree.
Nava, a native of Venezuela, averaged 14 points and 11 rebounds per game for the Rebels last winter. He should give UNO a physical presence in the paint.
The Privateers are heavily involved with 6-9 Chipola power forward/center Shawn Malloy this fall, but he has yet to make a decision.
JUCO Junction will keep you posted on his recruitment until it reaches a conclusion. Stay tuned.
