Southeastern Community College assistant coach Lorenzo Watkins informed JucoJunction that former Blackhawks player Fahro Alihodzic will play at the University of Alabama Birmingham next season. Alihodzic will have two seasons to play for the Blazers in Conference USA.

Alihodzic started his career at Fordham University before transferring to the West Burlington, Iowa school. This past December 2011 SCC dismissed 10 players from the program and forfeited the last 12 games of the season.
Alihodzic had signed with the University of Nebraska back in the fall but reopened his recruitment after then Huskers Head Coach Doc Sadler was let go from the program. Alihodzic averaged 15 points and 7.4 rebounds this past season.
Alihodzic is ranked No. 98 in the 2012 JucoJunction Top 150.
