New York forward to the MAC

Greg Avila wanted to end his recruitment early before the 2008-2009 season. Avila took an official visit this past weekend to a Mid-American Conference School. JucoJunction has the latest on where Avila will be going next season.
Avila, (SO) 6-foot-5 from Bronx, NY, has made an early pledge to play at Kent State University next season. Avila, an undersized post player, averaged 10.5 ppg and 7.7 rebounds this past season for the Bears while shooting 56% (100-178) from the floor.
"Greg is a strong, versatile forward with good athleticism. He can finish in the paint or face up and score off the dribble. Greg has really matured during his time at Harcum, on and off the court," said Harcum College Head coach Drew Kelly.
