New Yorker Lee Finds Fit @ Idaho State

After leaving his native New York City and attending Fresno City College for the past three years, 6-6 blue collar power forward deluxe Carl Lee has adjusted to living away from home.
That's especially going to come in handy over the next two years, as Lee signed this spring with Idaho State.

"Idaho State is a good fit for me," Lee told JUCO Junction. "It's a good combination."
"I can come in and play right away," he continued. "I am excited and pumped, because I like the atmosphere there and it's a basketball town."
While some schools shied away from Lee this spring due to concerns over his transcript, Idaho State didn't. The Bengal program has had success in recent years with junior college transfers who have what might be considered marginal academic backgrounds.
Lee was a key cog in the Fresno City club that reached the state title game in 2002-2003. He averaged 17.6 points, shooting 61 percent from the floor for the Rams. He also earned 224 trips to the free throw line, converting 58 percent of his attempts there.
Lee is a blue collar banger who attacks the basket and plays aggressively around the rim. The 218 pound power forward is finishing up two courses at Fresno City this summer and will enroll at Idaho State in the fall.
