Odessa forward headed to the SEC

Odessa College standout Quinton Thornton has ended his recruitment by making a verbal commitment to LSU and John Brady.
"Q always wanted to play in the SEC. The offense really fits his style of play," said Odessa assistant Mike Scutero. "Coach Nikita Johnson from LSU had worked for Coach Helms back at Odessa the first time around."

The 6-foot-9 forward averaged seven points and 7.5 rebounds as a freshman. He was being recruited by the likes of Tennessee, Texas Tech, Texas A&M and Marquette, but ended the process early.
There is speculation that Desmond Hendrix, a Wabash Valley (IL) prospect who had already committed to LSU, will not be a Tiger. However, JucoJunction has not yet been able to confirm that news.
