Another team JucoJunction had a chance to see in person over the weekend was the Odessa Wranglers. Here is a rundown of the Odessa prospects:

"Quinton is a true post, he's one of the most agile 6'9 kids around," said Odessa assistant Mike Scutero. "He can defend one through five on the floor and has improved his back to the basket game."
Marquette, VCU, Murray State, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, South Florida, Baylor, East Tennessee State, UTEP are all recruiting him.
Thornton has not taken any official visits yet.
Sean Jackson: (SO) 6-foot-8 (205) from Sanford, FL.
"Sean is a very long and active 4 man. He has a knack to score it. He is a great run - jump athlete," said Scutero .
Sean averaged 10 ppg and 10 rebs last year for the Wranglers.
Murray State (Offer), Rhode Island, St John's, Texas A&M, TCU , UTEP and South Florida are taking a look.
DeLuis Ramirez: (SO) 6-foot-4 (195) from Miami, FL.
"Deluis doesn't do anything great, he's a tough strong guard who gets to the foul line. He just fills out the stat column," commented Scutero.
Ramirez is a soft verbal to Virginia Commonwealth. His former high school coach is the assistant coach there.
Desean Gist: (SO) 6-foot-1 (190) from Brooklyn, NY.
Desean is a transfer from Suffolk CC (NY) where he was Region Player of the Year last year and All Tourney at the National D3 Championships. He averaged 14 ppg and
8 rebounds last yr.
"Desean keeps the game simple," said Scutero. "He is a tough New York City point guard that gets things done. Desean is a leader on the court."
Murray State, Stony Brook, St Francis (NY), UT-San Antonio and North Texas are
recruiting him.
Joseph Reed: (SO) 6-foot-8 (225) from Houston, TX.
"Joesph has gotten better. He is strong and rebounds the ball," Scutero said.
Reed was once a Texas Corpus-Christi verbal commitment. He has opened up the recruiting process with Sam Houston State, North Texas, Southern University and Texas Pan American.
Dewayne Hall: (SO) 5-foot-11 (165) from El Paso, TX.
Former Player of the Year in El Paso. He is an undersized two guard that can score. North Texas and Sam Houston State have called on him.
Freshman Kiwan Smith 6-foot-8 (210) from Brooklyn, NY, did not play in the event. He was out with an injury. Smith played the last 3 years at Laurinburg Institute. Smith scored 1,227 career points at Laurinburg.
Dragoslav Papic, another freshman, 6-foot-8 (210) from Serbia. Papic prepped at South Kent (CT) last season. Papic is a 4/3 man that really prefers the faceup, finesse game.
