One commits, others looking at Tyler

The Tyler Junior College Apaches led by Head Coach Mike Marquis finished their season late last week by losing to Navarro JC 78-75 in the Region tourney. Coach Mike Marquis told JucoJunction today that a few of his players are wasting no time and starting to take visits.
Delbert Simpson: (SO) 6-foot-7 (218) From Tyler, TX. The 3rd year player verballed to Baylor University today while visiting the campus with his parents. Simpson started college back in the fall 2004 at New Mexico State under the Lou Henson regime. Delbert never took the floor in Las Cruces for the Aggies and shortly left there after and headed back to Tyler and to TJC. Simspon enrolled in TJC in the spring 2005 as a part-time student and has played the past seasons.

"The system at Baylor really fits Delbert and it's just 2 1/2 hours from home. Delbert is an athletic four man that can face up and shoot the ball," said Marquis.
Simpson on the season averaged 10.1 ppg and 5 rebounds for the Apaches. Delbert over his two year career at TJC scored 587 points in 57 career games.
Tyrone Cole-Scott: (SO) 5-foot-10 (185) from Waterloo, IA. Cole-Scott is currently on the campus of Bradley University in Peoria, IL and was in attendance last night of the Braves victory over Providence in the NIT Tourney. The undersized scoring guard scored 1,021 career points in two seasons while averaging 16.1 ppg this season. Tyrone averaged 19.7 ppg as a freshman last year. He collected 1st Team All Region Honors this past season. Tyrone made 185 three-pointers the last two seasons.
"Tyrone is a very explosive scorer," said Marquis.
Creighton also plans on getting a visit out of Tyrone in the near future.
