The ACCAC Jamboree brought some new faces to the table this weekend. JucoJunction was on the campus of Phoenix College to see all the action from Region 1 in the NJCAA. Read more about the action right here on your source for junior college basketball recruiting news JucoJunction.
The Arizona Western College Marauders are located in Yuma, Ariz. down in the southwest corner of the state. This season Charles Harral will take over the program after longtime head coach Kelly Green moved onto NCAA D2 school Southeast Oklahoma State University.

The Marauders will look for leadership this season in big man Renan Lenz. The returner off last season's team played this past summer in Jerry Mullen's JUCO Camp in St Charles, Mo. on the campus of Lindenwood University.
Lenz, a native of Brazil, told JucoJunction he's completely wide open in the recruiting process. Coach Harral also confirm this to JucoJunction.
"Lenz loves to hit the turnaround jumper from 12 feet in has really good skills for a post player," said JucoJunction Publisher Bret Swanson.
Lenz averaged 9.8 points and 6 rebounds while per game shooting 47 percent (117-246) from the floor last season for the Marauders.
Freshman Marvin Whitt should see a lot of playing time this season for AWC. The Birmingham, Ala. native played quite well here this weekend for the Marauders.
"Whitt, a bit of scoring guard, shoots the ball with a lot of confidence and has a great knack to score the ball," said Swanson. Whitt played AAU ball with Birmingham Ice he told JucoJunction.
