"Sam Thompson has committed to Austin Peay University" said Wabash Valley College Head Coach Mike Carpenter. Thompson, a point guard, will have two seasons to play at the Ohio Valley Conference school.
Thompson, an Indianapolis, IN native is averaging 10.6 ppg, 4.8 assists and 3.5 rebounds this season for the Warriors. The Warriors are 16-14 heading into the Region 24 Tourney starting tomorrow against

Southwestern Illinois College.
The Warriors are based out of Mount Carmel, IL and play in the same region with currently number one ranked Vincennes University (30-0).
Last night in region play in games Olney Central College defeated Lincoln Trail College 89-87. Freshman Alex Brown led the Blue Knights with 23 points, Steven Davis 21 points and Coppin State commit Dmitri Reaves chipped in with 15 points.
The Blue Knights now play #3 seeded Kaskaskia College on Wednesday night.
Lake Land College beat Southeastern Illinois College 89-85 in overtime. David Franklin led the Lakers with 30 points.
The Lakers will now prepare for #2 seeded John A Logan College on Wednesday.
