Owens Will Sign with ORU
Larry Owens, an athletic 6-7, 205 pound combo forward from Yavapai C.C. in Prescott, Ariz., plans on signing a national letter of intent with Oral Roberts during the spring signing period.
While Owens visited ORU in the fall, he didn't sign with the Golden Eagles during the November signing period.

Instead, he committed to Oral Roberts shortly after the end of the early signing period, according to first-year Yavapai Head Coach Brooks Thompson.
A native of Mesa, Ariz., Owens averages 21.3 points, 10.2 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game for the Roughriders, who are 20-4 overall and 16-3 in ACCAC play this season.
JUCO Junction last saw Owens as a freshman at the 2001 ACCAC Jamboree in Scottsdale, Ariz., and we were impressed with his quickness, athleticism and ability to get things done in transition.
He should provide immediate help for Oral Roberts and help ease the loss of 6-8 senior stalwart Reggie Borges.
