Pacific lands one, hosts another

The Fighting Owls of Citrus College finished the season at 29-3 and lost in the State Tourney Semifinals to eventual Champion Saddleback College 55-54. JucoJunction found out today that one Fighting Owls player has decided on a future destination. Read about this player in this article.
"Jose Rivera will attend the University of The Pacific next fall," said Citrus College head coach Rick Croy.

Rivera, 6-foot-3 (185) from Brentwood, CA, started all 32 games this season for the Fighting Owls while averaging 10.7 ppg, 3.3 assists and 3.1 rebounds. Rivera shot 42% (80-192) from three-point range this past season.
Rivera was named Western State-South Division Player of the Year this season along with gathering First Team All State honors. Jose led the the Fighting Owls to their third straight conference championship this season. Rivera ended his career at Citrus College with 643 career points in 65 games played while connecting on 162 three pointers over two years.
Citrus College is located in Glendora, CA. The Tigers also hosted potential junior college recruit Illiwa Baldwin from Pratt Community College in Kansas this past weekend.
