Panola guard moving on
Dominique Whatley, a sophomore at Panola College, has signed a National Letter of Intent to play basketball at Bethune-Cookman University.
Whatley, a 6-foot-5, guard/forward from Atlanta, GA averaged 10 ppg and 2.5 rebounds per game this season at Panola. Whatley shot 42% from the field, 32% from three-point range and 73% from the line. He was an Honorable Mention All-Region XIV selection.
Dominique Whatley becomes the third Panola College men's basketball player to sign a NCAA Division I scholarship this spring, joining C.J. Clark (Ball State University) and David Burrell (Texas Southern University).
