Panolas Ponies off and running
First year coach Jacob Wonders has to be happy with the start of his Ponies this season. Panola JC is off to a (10-5) start . JucoJunction had a chance to touch base with Coach Wonders on his players' recruitment.
CJ Clark: (SO) 6-foot-7 from Cypress, TX. Clark is a transfer from Colorado State. The combo forward missed all 11 games in the fall with a broken foot. Clark is averaging 14 points and 5 rebounds in four games since returning to the lineup.

"CJ can defend multiple positions," Wonders said. "He's pretty versatile."
Xavier Yates: (SO) 6-foot from Springhill, LA.
"Yates is an athletic and active combo guard," Wonders said. "Xavier can create his own shot."
The Weatherford College transfer has been hit with injuries this year, missing seven games so far.
Don Riley: (SO) 6-foot-4 from Pine Bluff, AR. Riley is a returner from last years team.
"Don is the glue guy to our club," Wonders said. "He has a great knack for rebounding and he has been our leader throughout the season."
The combo forward is averaging 12 points per game this season.
"Don can defend the 2 to 5 man on the floor."
Dominique Whatley: (SO) 6-foot-5 from Atlanta, GA. Whatley is a transfer from Georgia State.
"Dominique has a strong frame and has a lot of tools offensively to rely on," Wonders said.
The wing shooter is averaging 10.1 points per game this season.
