Papa Oppong makes his choice
Papa Oppong had a very good season for the Panola College Ponies this past year. Oppong was rewarded with that by signing with Eastern Kentucky University recently according to Panola College Head coach Jacob Wonders.
The Ponies recorded 18 wins this season and upset top seeded Tyler Junior College in the opening round of the Region tourney this season. Oppong, a (SO) 6-foot-4 (185) wing player hails from Toronto, Canada. Papa played his freshman season at Coffeyville Community College in Kansas.
Oppong averaged 15.9 ppg, 5.4 rebounds and 2.1 assists while gathering all region honors in both conference and tourney play this season.
