Penn Valleys Freeman One to Watch

Martane Freeman, a 6-6, 185 pound small forward from Penn Valley C.C. in Kansas City, Mo., established himself as a player to watch at the recent Mullen JC Showcase in Tulsa, Okla.
Freeman is a smooth and versatile performer with solid perimeter skills. He's a capable ball handler and passer with good athleticism, although we'd like to see him be a little more assertive on the offensive end.

A native of Kansas City, Mo., Freeman told JUCO Junction that he's being looked at this summer by a wide variety of schools. Among that lot are Creighton, Jacksonville, Oklahoma, Montana, Eastern Kentucky, Albany, Baylor and UNLV.
Freeman said he will need to bear down in the classroom if he is to graduate from Penn Valley in time to enroll at a Division I college in the fall. He has the talent and ability to play at a pretty high level, assuming he can add some size and strength to his wiry frame.
JUCO Junction will be at a number of jamborees this fall, and we'll keep you posted on Freeman's play if we run in to him at an event. Stay tuned.
