Pioneers playing well

The Pioneers are currently 8-2 on the season under head coach Rolando De La Barrera. Three sophomores are leading the charge for the Pioneers this season. Marqus Moody, Marcus Nelson and Ronald Norfleet are the three players that come to the front for the Pioneers.

"Marqus is going to be a good get for someone at the small forward position. I think he's able to produce in the different areas that a small forward should excel at, rebounding especially," said De La Barrera. Moody is currently averaging 10.5 points and 8.8 rebounds per game this season. Moody hails from Gardenia, C.A.
"Marcus Nelson will be a steal for a program that is not afraid of size but values scoring ability and a high motor," said De La Barrera. The Midwest City, O.K. native is averaging 12.1 points per game this season while shooting 38 percent from three point range.
"Ronald has great athletic ability and length" said De La Barrera. Norfleet is averaging 4.6 points and 4 rebounds per game this season for the Pioneers. Ronald hails from Detroit.
Jazreel DeJesus is a freshman from Carolina, Puerto Rico who is getting 12.4 points per game and Angelo Lewis is at 10 points per game. Dytrel Bracey is a freshman point guard from New York and he is averaging 9.6 assists an outing and is among the Top 5 in the NJCAA this season in that category.
The Pioneers will look to add Tre Erby from Rock Hill, S.C. at the semester break. Erby played last season at Huntington Prep in Huntington,WV. Stay tuned to JucoJunction all season long for junior college basketball coverage nationwide.
