Pioneers start 2 and 0
The Spartanburg Methodist College Pioneers will have a lot of new faces this coming season in Region 10 play. The Pioneers finished in 3rd place at the NJCAA National Tourney in Hutchinson, KS last season at 35-1.
This season the Pioneers are off to a 2-0 start after playing in the 7th Annual Pioneer-Swanny's Classic. The Pioneers knocked off Spire Institute (OH) 70-49 and Orangeburg Calhoun Prep 75-62.

The Pioneers had to replace 9 players in the rotation off last seasons team.
DaQuan Jeffries led the way on opening night with 18 points. Freshman point guard TJ Sheppard chipped with 15 points.
The Pioneers will to make more noise this season in Region 10 with the likes with Brunswick Community College, Cape Fear Community College and USC-Salkehatchie.
