Pirates duo decides

Kris Gulley will be signing with Long Beach State and Thomas Staton will be heading off to UMKC next season. Gulley is a freshman academic qualifier and will have three years to play while Staton is a transfer from Gardner Webb.

"Kris is a long athletic player that can make shots," said JucoJunction Publisher Bret Swanson.
Gulley averaged 10.3 points and 4.7 rebounds per game this season for the 23-9 Independence Community College Pirates this season. Gulley hails from Dallas, T.X.
"Thomas is a big guard that can do it all. The offense UMKC runs fits him perfect," said head coach Patrick Nee. Staton averaged 10.4 points and 4.1 rebounds per game this season.
