Pirates duo moves on

Pensacola Junior College was a dominated sophomore club this past season. JucoJunction found out today from former Pirates Assistant Coach Andy Meneely that two players have moved onto a school for this fall. "George Jgerenaia and Erekle Jgerenaia have both signed with North Georgia College & State University, a NCAA Division Two program in Dahlonega, GA," said Meneely. The brothers from Tbilisi ,Republic of Georgia both had the chance to play together this past season in the Panhandle Conference. Erekle started his college career at Williston State College in North Dakota.

Both players averaged 3.8 points per game this past season for the Pirates. George prepped at Maine Central Institute before heading off to junior college. "George is a skilled lefthanded player that can really run the floor well and has the ability to hit the midrange jumper," said JucoJunction Publisher Bret Swanson.
