Pirates have trio of prospects

Head Coach Steve Lilly has some really solid sophomores this season that are all still wide open in the recruiting process. JucoJunction took some time out with Coach Lilly to talk to him about his players. The Pirates are currently (13-7) in the Jayhawk East Conference.
Tyrone Evans: (SO) 6-foot-1 from Aurora, IL. Evans is a shooting guard who spent his freshman year at Pensacola JC (FL).

"I love his competitive nature and he's a really good defender," said Lilly. Tyrone is averaging near 17.5 ppg in Jayhawk Conference play. Evans recently had 31 points versus Kansas City Kansas.
Tyrone hasn't taken any visits yet and UTEP, Akron and Arkansas-Little Rock are showing some interest in the Aurora East graduate. Evans is averaging 12.6 ppg for the Pirates season.
Leonard Parker: (SO) 5-foot-10 from Leavenworth, KS. Parker has run the Pirates offense for the last two seasons. Leonard logs a lot of minutes on this team.
"Leonard has really taken off where he left off from last season. He has such a great motor and just keeps going and going," said Lilly.
The two-year starter has received an offer from Western Carolina. Stephen F. Austin, Chicago State and Cleveland State are also keeping tabs on Parker. Leonard is having a great season so far at 11.5 ppg, 4.4 rebounds, 8 assists and 3.2 steals.
Rico Seay: (SO) 6-foot-2 from Memphis, TN. Seay is a 2/3 man that transferred in from Jackson State Community College in Tennessee.
"Rico is an exceptional athlete that's open in the recruiting process," said Lilly.
Rico is at 9.7 ppg a night for the Pirates.
