Pirates Player Stays Close

This time of the season not many players are still looking for schools. The first period of the NCAA July Recruiting Period ended yesterday and won't start back up until mid next week. JucoJunction.com was told of a signing from a player from the Big Apple who will stay instate and finish his college basketball career.
Karron McKenzie will continue to play his college basketball career at nearby Fort Hays State University next season according to Independence Community College head Coach Patrick Nee. McKenzie a Staten Island, NY native averaged 12.5 ppg and 6.2 rebounds this past season for the 19-12 Pirates in the Jayhawk Conference.

whenever he can and finishes well while doing it" said JucoJunction Publisher
Bret Swanson. McKenzie shot 48% (137-287) from the floor this past season for the Pirates.
McKenzie ended his two year career at Independence Community College with 669
points in 62 games played for the Pirates.
