Orlando Sanchez, known as "Primo," just finished playing in the FIBA Americas Tourney in Argentina for his homeland of the Dominican Republic. The combo forward received honorable mention all-American last season for the Monroe College Mustangs.
The Mustangs finished in 3rd place at the NJCAA National Tourney in Hutchinson, Kan. last March. Sanchez averaged 8.6 points, 11.8 rebounds and 4.3 blocks per game last season for the Mustangs.
The Dominican Republic National Team was coached by Kentucky Head Coach John Calipari and had NBA players Al Horford, Francisco Garcia and Charlie Villanueva on the roster.
