Porrini, a former High School teammate of Michigan State player Delvon Roe, started his college career at Western Carolina University a few seasons back. Porrini is currently averaging 10.7 ppg, 5.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2 steals for the 17-10 Commodores this season.
"Michael is scrappy kid that's really vocal on the floor and really can stuff the stat sheet at the end of the night," said JucoJunction staff analyst Bret Swanson.
Porrini is now the sixth Commodores player to find a Division One school for next fall. JucoJunction will keep an eye on the Commodores in Panhandle Conference play down the wire this season.
