Posey headed home

Patrick Posey is returning to the Palmetto State next season to be a Spartan. Posey committed this morning to USC-Upstate located in Spartanburg, SC. Patrick is a
Greenville, SC native and has played the past two seasons at Vincennes University in Indiana for head coach Everick Sullivan. The Blazers finished this past season at (28-6)

Posey, (SO) 6-foot-6 (205), attended Woodmont High School in Greenville. Patrick averaged 10 ppg and 3.7 rebounds this season while shooting 57.8% (85-147) from the floor. He scored 432 career points in 54 games played at Vincennes University the past two seasons. Posey played in the NJCAA National both years at Vincennes.
Posey received interest from UW-Milwaukee, Youngstown State, IUPUI and South Carolina State according to assistant coach Brian Davis.
"Pat really thought playing time at USC-Upstate was very appealing and the proximity of being close to home was ideal. USC-Upstate did a great job of recruiting Patrick especially assistant coach Steve Smith," said Davis.
The Spartans compete in the Atlantic Sun Conference.
