Preview 2006: Keep an eye on Cloud

Cloud County Community College sent a couple of players to Division One schools a season ago. Kevin Muff knows he will have to replace Adam Vogelsburg and Keddric Mays for his team to continue its recent success, but the pieces are in place to do just that.
"We have a good returning class. We don't have a lot of outstanding players, but a good group of solid players. I think we can get three players to Division One, four would be great," Muff said.

There is a group of four wing players at Cloud County that Muff thinks will be recruited this year.
"James Williams is definitely one of them; he's a 6-3 wing player, defintely talented enough," Muff said. "Mamadou Sy from Paris, France is a 6-6 kid is another one. He's very athletic, defends very well, doesn't shoot it real good, but gets to the basket, can finish in transition. The other one is Geremey Gibson, an undersized post player. He had seven or eight double-doubles as a freshman, but he's only 6-3. He's an extremely good leaper, good inside. He has a chance to be a power forward at like a low-major."
In addition, 6-foot-6 guard Robert Nimocks from Michigan could get some looks. Muff said that will depend on his sophomore season.
"I feel real good about our recruiting class also," Muff said. "We have got some good kids coming in."
Out of that class, Muff did not hesitate when asked to identify an immediate impact prospect.
"I think our big kid definitely will, Cassin Diggs, from IMG, the prep school down in Florida last year. He's 6-10, 260, he can't help but have an impact," Muff said. "I really like Quentin Turner who we signed out of Houston. He's a point guard, and he's very, very good."
