Rams player to the deuce

Quinton Watkins had a great season at Fresno City College for head coach Ed Madec. The one-time Compton Dominquez player started his college career at the University of Illinois before heading off to San Diego State and the College of Southern Idaho.

The 22-year-old will play this coming season for NCAA D2 school Cal-St Los Angeles and head coach Stephen Thompson. Thompson is a former Crenshaw graduate who played at Syracuse.
The State Co-Player of the Year averaged 17.3 points per game for the Rams. He was named MVP of the Central Valley College Conference.
Watkins went the D2 route because he only had one semester left at the NCAA D1 level.
Watkins will have three seasons to play for Cal St Los Angeles.
