"Oscar Garcia will be at Lipscomb University next season," said Otero Junior College head coach Houston Reed. Garcia is averaging 7.2 points and 4.2 rebounds per game this season for the 25-4 Rattlers.

"Oscar plays as hard as any player in junior college at his size. Oscar took 45 charges as a freshman. He's a great rebounder and defender and we are proud of his offensive development in his two years at Otero Junior College," said Reed.
Garcia decided on Lipscomb over Stephen F Austin and Cal Bakersfield.
