Ravens trio moving on

San Jacinto College Head Coach Scott Gernander informed us that three of his players are moving onto the four year level next season.
Donte Thomas is headed to Arkansas State University according to Gernander. Thomas, a big guard, is a third year player who played at Hagerstown Community College (MD) as a freshman.

Thomas averaged 12.3 ppg, 5 assists and 3.5 rebounds this past season. Thomas made 49% of his shots from the floor. Thomas will join former Ravens player and high school teammate Anthony Livingston at Arkansas State University.
Jay Hedgeman is headed to Louisiana-Lafayette according to Gernander. Hedgeman averaged 10.1 ppg and 7 rebounds this season. Hedgeman is a Pearland, TX native.
Naiel Smith played just one season at San Jacinto College after starting his college
career at Texas State University. Smith averaged 6.8 ppg, 4.8 asissts and 4.4 rebounds this season for the 28-6 Ravens.
Smith prepped out of New York City at Queen City Prep in Charlotte, NC.
The Ravens lost in the NJCAA to Columbia State Community College (TN) 76-74.
The trio now joins Willie Mangum and Dana Raysor in finding NCAA Division One Schools for next season.
