When College of Eastern Utah Head Coach Brad Barton passed away in early October 2011, Troran Brown decided not to play that season. Brown played his freshman season at South Mountain College in Phoenix, Ariz. where he averaged 19 points per game.

Brown has decided to start up his college career this coming fall and will play at the University of Montevallo (AL.) Montevallo is a NCAA Division Two program.
Brown is ranked No. 47 in the 2012 JucoJunction Top 150. Brown will have three years to play for Montevallo.
