Redshirt frosh lighting it up for Trinity Valley

Trinity Valley Community College is fortunate enough to have a couple of talented sophomores to help lead its basketball team, but according to Cardinals assistant coach Danny Hughes, there's a redshirt freshman on the roster this year that's been stealing the spotlight.
Antwi Atuahene, a 6-foot-4, 195-pound point guard of out Toronto has been perhaps the team's top player and Hughes said schools from coast to coast are showing interest.

"Everybody's after him," Hughes said. "If he's able to graduate in the summer, he'll have three years. Everyone is pretty much after him.
Atuahene is averaging 16.3 points and just under 10 assists per game this year, and Hughes mentioned that his versatility is what has caught the eye of several top Division I programs.
"His biggest strength is that he's able to create for other players. He sees the floor exceptionally well and he's a great competitor," said Hughes. "Also, he's versatile to play either the one, two or three spot."
Among the schools that Hughes mentioned that have already stopped by to get a closer look are St. John's, Purdue, Texas A&M, Pittsburgh, Purdue and Oklahoma.
"There have been a ton that have come by. I could go through a whole lot of them," the coach said. "They like him because he's versatile enough and he definitely has the potential to be a big-time player for someone."
Atuahene has not taken any visits and Hughes said he'll probably take some when the season ends.
