Reese: Big West Looks for Riverside Guard

J.R. Reese, an athletic 6-2, 195 pound shooting/combo guard from Riverside C.C. in Riverside, Calif., has a pair of Big West programs eyeballing him early.
Riverside Head Coach Bob Russo told JUCO Junction that Pacific and Long Beach State are highly interested in Reese heading into the summmer.

A native of Corona, Calif., Reese started 31 of 32 games for the Tigers in 2002-2003, averaging 13.2 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.6 steals per game. He shot 37 percent from the floor, 28 percent beyond the arc and 82 percent from the foul line.
Reese must learn to become a better decision maker and distributor, as evidenced by his 1:1 assist to turnover ratio. He is athletic and excels in a fast paced transition type setting. If he can improve his point guard skills, then it is conceivable that Reese could get recruited at a higher level next winter.
JUCO Junction will keep you posted on Reece and other prospects in the JC Class of 2004. Stay tuned.
