Reivers boast two more talented prospects

Iowa Western Community College consistently turns out some of the nation's top talent. This season, there are two more at IWCC that will merit definite Division One attention.
Calvin Walls has already played at that level. The 6-foot-8, 230-pound Walls transferred to Iowa Western from Wichita State.

"He is more of a post up player," said Western assistant James Bankhead. "He's got decent skills, he's a good athlete, not great, but a good athlete. He can really score around the basket, can put it on the floor a little bit, rebounds and defends."
A number of mid-major programs are currently showing interest, but Bankhead thinks the level of recruitment will increase on Walls, who recently entered our list of the nation's top players.
"Tulsa, Murray State, Tennessee Tech, Utah State, they all like him," Bankhead said. "St. Louis just called about him, they haven't been in yet. I think if he waits he will probably end up going high major. I've been doing this ten years and every juco kid, especially big kids, they can easily slide up."
Avery Patterson is also getting plenty of looks right now. Patterson can play the shooting guard or small forward spot and is a solid perimeter shooter.
"He just needs to get to where he can rebound more, bang a little harder and rebound," Bankhead commented. "There's a difference in that freshman to sophomore level. He's by far, probably will be our best player."
Southeast Missouri, Tennessee Tech and Murray State are interested. Drake has offered and Bankhead said Patterson is going to visit Wyoming. However, neither Patterson nor Walls will sign until the spring.
