Roadrunners look to make move

The Missouri Region last season was won by Missouri State-West Plains last season. This season a new team is looking to take over the reins and a make a move to the NJCAA National tourney in Hutchinson, Kan. this coming March. The State Fair Community College Roadrunners finished last season at 23-7 under first year head coach Kevin Thomas. The Roadrunners lost three times to Missouri State-West Plains, who advanced onto the NJCAA National tourney from the Missouri Region.

This season the Roadrunners will look to Alfonzo Houston to lead the charge. Houston is receiving plenty of interest this fall from schools according to Thomas. IPFW, Central Michigan University, Wright State and Eastern Kentucky have all shown interest in the Cleveland Heights, Ohio native.
The wing player averaged 12.8 points and 3.3 rebounds per game last season while shooting 50 percent (129-256) from the floor for the Roadrunners.
Michael Bradley is in his first year after playing in Sedalia, Mo. after transferring over from Seminole State College in Oklahoma. The Little Rock, Ark. averaged 9.2 points and 5 rebounds per game last season.
"Michael has a nice mid-range game to go along with his good body," said JucoJunction Publisher Bret Swanson.
Fred Wilson comes from the Great Northwest after playing last season at NCAA division one program Seattle University. The Seattle, Wash. native averaged 2.1 points in 19 games played for the Pilots. The combo guard
will look to start for the Roadrunners this coming November.
